Mayo Concert Orchestra
CLASSICAL CONCERT
Monday 11th & Tuesday 12th May @ 8.00pm Mayo
Concert Orchestra presents an evening of music, fusing classical
compositions with contemporary arrangements. The orchestra has been in
existence for over 11 years and, under the baton of George Lee, plays
with a delightful energy and enthusiasm. This year’s repertoire brings
the audience on a journey through time, including European folk dances,
a selection of musical medleys and a nod to 20th century North America.
Special guests include enchanting Soprano Francie McNicholas, and
acclaimed Claremorris harpist Grainne Hambly, renowned for her
sensitive and dynamic performances and three critically acclaimed solo
CDs. A night of great music with a big feelgood factor and a great
opportunity to enjoy Mayo’s musical talent.
