Wild Foraging Workshops

We have been very busy with our wild foraging workshops, we have had school groups, women's groups, Macra na Ferime groups, men shed groups, and not forgetting our hen and birthday parties. Pictured here is our Red clover Lemonade from our wild brewing workshops with a group of transition year students, we made a selection of wild cordials and lemonades.

We have a range of wild brewing, soap making, candle making, cooking, crafting, and cosmetic making, herbal tea blending workshops. All workshops start with a foraging walk and after lunch we get busy transforming our wild plants into tasty treats or beautiful crafts for you to take home with you. Book your workshop online at http://www.gaolsiar.com/workshops-2015.html.

Saints & Scholars of Erris Candles

In May we launched our range of Saints & Scholars candles. These unscented pillar candles burn for 75 hours. Each candle depicts a saint, scholar or sacred site of Erris and comes with a card telling the story of the image. Candles include St Deribhile, and St. Brendan as well as many other local Saints. The candles are on sale through our website at http://www.gaolsiar.com/shop.html or from Shevlins and Slainte Healthfoods in Belmullet. We can also personalise your candle with any image or message, or for any occasions such as weddings etc. These candles are also weather proof and have been order by customers to leave a personal message on a loved ones grave, or as a special gift for your Erris relatives abroad. If you would like your own personalised candle call us on 0872169625 or email eolas@gaolsiar.com. If you would like to learn more about the Saints and Sacred Sites of Erris, you can book a Sacred sites tour on http://www.gaolsiar.com/-tours-2015.html. We also continue to produce our range of foraged candles, scented from the wild plants of Erris, they are available online at http://www.gaolsiar.com/shop.html
