We are constantly striving to represent you the businesses of Castlebar and in order to do this better and set our agenda for the coming months we need to assess your needs. Therefore we are currently compiling a questionnaire that we will be distributing the beginning of April. We appreciate that your time is vital and therefore we guaranteed that this will take less than five minutes to complete. As with the majority of Chamber initiatives your input is vital. Membership is of vital importance to the Chamber as we can only be a voice for the businesses we represent. Thank you to everyone that has already returned their membership application form and subscription fee and I would like to remind those that have not that it is now overdue. Remember Castlebar Chamber of Commerce offers a huge variety of services to its members and all at a reduced rate. A date for our seminar on reducing your waste disposal costs will be announced in the near future. We hope to be able to provide you with all the options to mounting piles of refuse, without any huge cost to your business. Full details will be distributed at a later date. Get all you photocopying, spiral binding and faxing needs catered for in the chamber office. All services are discounted 50% for members. We also have meeting rooms for hire and a PowerPoint projector available. As part of a new nation-wide recycling campaign, for every printer cartridge collected the Lions club will receive a donation. Castlebar Lions club are involved in this initiative and there is a bin in the Chamber of Commerce office for collection of your cartridges. Please drop them into the office and help the Lions club to continue their good work. Are you interested in taking part in an "Internet Business Strategy Development" course? If so contact the office for further details. We will shortly have a security self-audit form available to help you assess your security needs within your premises. Further details will be available shortly. The new local telephone directory will be available for purchase next month. A list of outlets where it can be purchased will be available shortly. Thank you to all businesses that supported this Chamber initiative. We are holding a practical hands-on e-business case study evening on the 11th April. Here we aim to give you the nitty gritty details from small businesses that are successfully trading over the internet. They will tell us how they started, what the pitfalls were and whether they would do it all again knowing what they now know. This initiative has no cost to the participants and is there to safe guard businesses in the community? All it will take is a few minutes of your time every so often.
