It’s AGM time again and nominations are now being
accepted for the officer’s positions. Only fully paid members have
the right to vote at the AGM so therefore please check that your membership
is up to date. Why not take advantage of the computers in the community
access centre. We have free training courses available so learn how to
use your computer more effectively in the office. We also have a number
of places left on the Internet strategy training course. This course valued
at €400 is coming to an end and as such there are free places left.
Are you interested? Contribution to be spent in the area. Please do your part for both the Lions Club and the environment by bringing your old cartridges to the office. Remember October 14th –18th is Safety Awareness Week with the emphasis as usual on the workplace. Why not contact Work Web West at 094 43008? This is a supportive employment initiative and they have a number of highly qualified people on their books. Where necessary a job coach will accompany the employee on a gradual fading out process. Many employers in the area have had positive experiences using this service. The CCI annual conference is being held in Westport this year on November 1st & 2nd. Get all you photocopying, spiral binding and faxing needs catered for in the chamber office. All services are discounted 50% for members.
