Membership is of vital importance to the Chamber as we can only be a voice for the businesses we represent. Thank you for your continued support. As a special incentive we are now offering a special once off €50 membership from now to the end of December for businesses that wish to get an idea what the Chamber of Commerce is all about. If there are any businesses you feel might be interested in this please let them know. Congratulations to the Tidy Towns committee for all their hard work. Castlebar once again received an increase in their points in the National Tidy Towns Awards. The local awards ceremony will take place on Friday night 27th September. We are delighted to welcome in association with BNI Mr. Art Radtke who is internationally recognised as a leading expert in Business by Referral. Art will give a seminar on Tuesday 24th September on the best ways to network within the business environment and how to grow your business by referral. Further details will be available shortly. The Western Development Commission is holding an information evening on the availability of finance from the Western Investment Fund on Wednesday 2nd October in the Welcome Inn. We have office space to let in the Chamber offices on Spencer St. If you require space or know of anybody that does tell them to call in and have a look.Get all you photocopying, spiral binding and faxing needs catered for in the chamber office. All services are discounted 50% for members. We also have meeting rooms for hire and a PowerPoint projector available. Remember we have recycle bins for all your empty printer/photocopier toner cartons and cartridges. For all cartridges collected the Lions clubs will receive a donation which will be spent in the area. Please do your part for both the Lions Club and the environment by bringing your old cartridges to the office. We will also take old mobile phones. Is your business premise secure? Do you know you

We will have a security self audit form for businesses with an existing
premises or businesses looking at a new premises available shortly. The local telephone directory is now available and can be purchased directly from the Chamber of Commerce office or from a number of outlets around town. We also have a direct sales person who will call to your premises shortly. Thank you to all businesses that supported this Chamber initiative.
