For Gods sake point the Web-cam down the Main Street so at least there's a chance of seeing something other than the ghosts of '98 and the glow of our 'Eternal Flame'..... (What Eternal Flame you might well ask?). More local media coverage would be good too and save me having to fight the traffic into that seething smokey pit of a city for a 'Connaught' And thanks for the wonderful site....It's a real connection with home.

We are only able to point the web cam down the main street when the weather is fine. But we do move it around as often as we can. The problem with the web cam is you have to position it somewhere where it will have continuous access to the Internet. This has limited the number of locations available.
At the moment we provide coverage from the local papers. We also have Ten Castlebar Newsletters that we update regularly. We also broadcast Community Radio Castlebar live over the Internet. Every day the home page features the latest news that we have received. If you know of any additional source of news that we should or could use please let us know.
