The Aer Lingus Swim Club hosted their 25th Anniversary Open Gala (Short Course) in the ALSAA Pool on Nov 21-23, 2003.

Seven swimmers from the Castlebar club travelled to Dublin to compete and some good performances were given against swimmers from 32 different clubs from around the country.

The pick of the weekend’s performances came from Colm Garrick with two really strong swims in the 50m Breaststroke with a time of 33.05 in the heat to take a place in the finals. Against strong opposition Colm went on to swim a creditable 32.48 in the final to take fourth place.
