Leisureland Cup - Galway

All ages participated from U.10 to O.16 and two buses were hired to bring all the swimmers to Galway. Castlebar came home with the plaque for second place being narrowly defeated by Galway. Castlebar Club provided the swimmers and the coaches with a well deserved treat after the gala in Supermacs.

Connacht B+C Gala - Castlebar
Castlebar hosted a B+C Gala in Castlebar Swimming Pool on 17th April 05. Clubs from Sligo, Ballina, Claremorris and Westport came to Castlebar to take part in the gala so all hands were on deck for the occasion. Long Course Open Championships - Limerick
Sally Cunniffe and Nicholas Quinn travelled to Limerick on Friday 29th April - 1stMay to take part in the above gala. They both swam in the 11-12 age group and achieved the following results;
Sally Cunniffe Silver Backstroke, Bronze both in Freestyle and Breaststroke and 4th in Butterfly.
Nicholas Quinn bronze in Breaststroke and 4th in Butterfly.
This is an excellent achievement for such young swimmers. Congratulations to both.
