Dya know but there's a grand stretch in the evenings.

There's no denying that there's a magic about this time of the year.

A sunny dusky evening in Mayo. Stripped down to a T-shirt and a light sheen of sweat.

Yes, there's school tomorrow but you know that the long summer holidays are only just around the corner now.

The air smells different, the sun shines a bit and the evenings grow longer and longer.

Those non-stop games of football are being played longer and longer into the dusky evenings and the mammy's are draggging you in for 'skool in the mornin'.

Soon, soon, the summer'll be here soon.
