Open Competitions Castlebar Tennis Club 2005

Castlebar Tennis Club Junior Open Competition runs from 1st July to 3rd July in Castlebar.

An important date on the Irish Senior Tennis Calendar for 2005 is the Castlebar Open from 29th July to 1st August 2005.

Castlebar Tennis Club contributes to Tsunami Fund

"It’s fantastic to contribute to a co-ordinated effort for a good cause," said Paddy Mahon from Castlebar Tennis Club. The Castlebar Club held a competition night last week which raised €711 for the cause.

"The minority sports, such as Tennis are making a huge effort in organising events" said Charlie Lambert Sports Co-ordinator for the Mayo Sports Partnership, who are facilitating the initiative.

New Courts

Plans are in place to move from the current location at Pavilion Road to a new expanded base with eight courts at Lough Lannagh. Castlebar Tennis Club made a presentation to Castlebar Town Council outlining the plans.
