Liam Lawton plays the TF 27 Nov 2005

The last 12 months have probably been the most hectic months of Liam Lawton’s career…..he signed to EMI Records, recorded a fantastic album, undertook a major sell-out Irish tour, and culminated with double platinum sales of his highly acclaimed album “Another World”.

For those who have never seen Liam perform…a Liam Lawton live concert is both a visual and aural experience and features various guests from his album at every performance. He has gotten a standing ovation every single night as his charismatic style and approach reaches out to give people a spiritual experience they will never forget.

So just who IS Liam Lawton, and where did this all come about?

Ordained as a priest several years ago, Liam released 8 albums of liturgical music, songs which are used in masses, weddings and funerals throughout Ireland, the UK and the US. The fact is it's almost a guarantee that when you hear music in the church, the chances are it's Liam Lawton's.

Placing a huge emphasis on melody with lyrics to touch your soul….very cinematic and melodic, Liam's music could best be described as spiritual Celtic music for the soul.

The summer of 2005 saw Liam back in studio with the follow-up album to the hugely successful “Another World”. With orchestral arrangements being handled by the highly acclaimed Gary Fry, and the talents of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra coming to the table, and some really special guests lined up, “Time” is a very special album indeed!

See Liam live in concert at the Royal Theatre, Castlebar this Sunday the 27th of November. Tickets are €25 each and can be purchased from the Box Office: 0818 300 000, on the website: www.royaltheatre.ie or calling into any of the usual outlets.

A concert not to be missed!
