Sub-Human Conditions close Aughamore School
The 101-year-old building of St. Mary's N.S in Aughmore has been closed down by the Board of Management of the school due to terrible conditions in the school. The school has rats in it, is in breach of fire regulations due to overcrowding and there is nowhere for the students to eat their lunch or hang their coats. The school has been closed until the Department of Education does something about the conditions. Up until now the government have practically ignored the complaints of the students and staff of this school.
