Foxford Gallery seeks old photographs
The personnel at the Source Foxford Gallery are looking for old photographs that were taken in Mayo. They are looking for photos that show how people dressed and acted a hundred years ago. If you have old photographs with images similar to the Wynne collection or that show events that happened in your grandparents, great-grandparents or even parents time, the gallery wishes to borrow the photo for an exhibition. After the exhibition all photographs will be returned to the owner. If you think you have a photograph that could be used in this exhibition you can bring it to Foxford Woollen Mills.

Over the past year or two television advertisements and lots of media coverage have urged people to drive safely on the road but still people are losing their lives on the roads. Chief Supt. Once again, the Travellers Friend hotel has been denied a dance licence for the premises. Judge Kenny said that he had observed locks and chains on the doors of some exits on his last inspection of the hotel. He said that until Mr. Jennings, the owner of the hotel, removed the locks and paid more regard to fire safety he will not obtain a dance licence.
