ACTORS:

#10: Samuel L. Jackson
Just pure cool, whether it's in Shaft or Pulp Fiction. Oh, and he also played the opposite of cool to great affect in Unbreakable.

#9: Dustin Hoffman
Yeah, of course I definitely think he's a great actor, definitely a great actor...and here's to you Dustin Hoffman/i really like the character's you play/ hey hey hey hey hey.

#8: Brad Pitt
Just a real cool actor who knows (most of the time) how to pick the best parts. Seven, Ocean's 11, Fight Club, Interview w/ the Vampire, 12 Monkeys.

#7: Edward Norton
Very versatile...can't wait to see him in the new Hannibal Lector movie.

#6: Denzel Washington
Too many good parts to mention. Showed versatility by playing Malcolm X and Jake Shuttlesworth (He Got Game).

#5: Kevin Spacey
American Beauty, Glengarry Glen Ross, Seven and especially The Usual Suspects. Now, go to lunch, go to lunch, will you go to lunch

#4: Jack Nicholson
You've flown right over the cukoo's nest if you don't understand this choice.

#3: Jason Lee
Highly under-rated actor. I'm waiting for the rest of the world to catch on.

#2: Tom Cruise
Maybe it's the movies that he's in. Or maybe it's the fact that he improves the movies that he's in.

#1: Al Pacino
Among many other reasons, he is without question the most intense actor I've ever seen. Just watch Scent of a Women or for that matter: Any Given Sunday, Glengarry GlenRoss, Carlito's Way, Devil's Advocate, Scarface, Godfather 1, 2, and 3, etc.

Here are my all time favorite performances:

Best Actor:
Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire
Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman
Johnny Depp in Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas
Jack Nicholson in As Good As It Gets
Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man

Best Supporting Actor:
Gary Oldman in JFK
Tom Cruise in Magnolia
Al Pacino in Devil's Advocate
Jason Lee in Chasing Amy
Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting

Well that's all for now, once again I welcome your feedback at philc@castlebar.ie
