Travel To The Wild

I am always surprised and amazed at the effect rock and roll music has on me. Listening to certain selections transports me to a place of a frantic nature. It takes me to a place one dares not go, a place so intense with excitement and there is a sense of recklessness and sexual tension in the air. A place that all inhibitions are dropped an experience of such intensity that the adrenaline rush is overwhelming. Yes I am a parent that keeps a traditional household, except late into the evenings when I take a stroll through rock and roll and let my inhibitions fly. I am too old, for drugs and alcohol and I am happily married - so sexual promiscuity is out of the question. What a true and pure escape to “walk on the wild side” through rock and roll, and give myself a break from being responsible and together day in and day out. How can I unleash the frantic energy, besides the unmentionable, running (Jogging)? How can the guitar in “Wait” by White Lion be so intense to be reckless in thought and power behind, the intense feeling? The loud music takes me to a place high into the mountains a panoramic view with its own intensity. Then come memories of working on the ambulance the adrenaline responding on a call, the “edge” to get the job done - a break, twelve string guitar to come down from the altered state of intensity. Music to run through the leaves that have fallen, listening to the crackling underfoot, a soft snow falling at night, music to walk contrast with the silence a snowfall creates, snow angels and looking at the night sky, snow softly falling on your face. Running all the way home, tea with a splash of Baileys and then to curl up with that special someone and continue travelling the wild.
