Westlive Charity Weekend is a series of charity concerts which will take place on May 2nd, 3rd and 44th (May Bank Holiday weekend). This is a spirited effort to host a magnificent music event in Co. Mayo, which would not be out of place in any of the major towns of Ireland. With gracious support from Louis Walsh and other music promoters, the organisers ave been fortunate to secure a number of wonderful and diverse Irish music acts, catering to all ages and preferences.

Not having anticipated such an overwhelming response to the concept, it was originally planned to stage the event in a local hotel. However, due to the tremendous positive feedback, the event will now be hosted in a much larger setting. The venue selected is the Claremorris Equestrian Centre, a prominent site on the N17 Galway to Sligo Road. It will feature a   marquee (capacity of 2,500 people per day), to accommodate the event. Carnival attractions, a motor show, vintage rally and pony rides will also be featured, in addition to the music line-up, making this an entertaining weekend for everyone.

Organising an  event of this magnitude is very costly due to a number of expenses, the largest being our insurance costs and the marquee rental. To this end, the organisers are requesting the assistance of any businesse that wish to become involved. Already, a number of local businesses have made financial contributions to assist in defraying the costs. Other business's which wish to do likewise and obtain valuable advertising at the same time, please do not hesitate in contacting Martin Costello at (087) 629 8000 or via e-mail at westlive@eircom.net

Charities which will benefit directly from the proceeds of Westlive Charity Weekend:
