There was a great atmosphere in that pub.G.A.A. & Politics were big topics of conversation but it also was a place where someone sang a song nearly every night.I remember one of the Lally brothers from Castlebar who used to do a great job singing the "Laughing Policeman" & having everyone in stitches at the end.Ted McGuire from Ballyheane used to sing that song "..It was sad when the great ship went down..to the bottom of the sea".Popular ballads like "Red,River Valley" & also rebel songs were sang with gusto!
Great memories.
