You are correct, I did serve on both boards of management, but never went forward for election. On each occasion I was actually requested to serve by those who had representation on the board, according to the rules of appointment.I never sought election nor did I ever request any body to be its representative.I like to think that I carried out my duties in a fair and honourable way, and anyone who knows me will be aware that I am not shy when it comes to expressing my own views. Others were elected democratically and served their terms.
In my time on board of management, no cases of abuse ever came to the attention of anyone of us, and to this day, I am not personally aware of any cases.
