Can you recall when you last used the word "delph"?
I used the word in the office during the week and was met with a quizzical look and a remark: "delph? what do you mean? I never heard of that word". It was certainly used and is still used in our house, but I looked up 2 dictionaries which we regularly use, and the word isn't in it! Any explanations of how a commonly used word should suddenly disappear? Just thinking what would Rocky's, Kilkelly's, Paddy Fahey's etc. have done without having sets of delph to sell!
