Don't know all the old placenames off ther top of my head but some of them were as follows:

Tilbury Fort= Fort on Bayne's Hill now Glenfort.

Lakelawn Avenue= Brett's Boirin, Newtown

Langston's Hill= the Curragh (beside Maureen O Loughlin's.)

Lover's Lane= Westport Road b(beside Rural Training Centre.)

Poorhouse Hill= Staball

Madhouse Hill= Station Road just after Cathal Duffy's Garage- Griffins and Lallys lived here.

Pound Road= Garryduff (end of Bridget's Cres to Blackfort)

the Brass Castle= Barrack Bridge - once a tenement building.

Tom Twigg's Corner= junction of chapel St and Tucker St.

JB's Corner = corner of Main St - Gentique Jeweller's
