Paddy Jennings, a gentleman - if I'm thinking of the same guy, he had a shoe repair (?) shop in Linenhall Street, where the newly opened Beirne Auctioneers shop is.
When I was a child (about 300 years ago) he threatened to cut my head off with a saw.
Luckily I managed to escape (with my head intact), but it has left me with a morbid fear of cobblers.
