Can't tell you when the last one was but as you may know a little bit of legal history will be made next week when the first murder trial since 1924 (when the present courts system was established) will be held in Castlebar Court House. All murders are tried in the Central Criminal Court and that court never sat outside Dublin until 2003 or 2004 when it was found convenient to hold it in (you've guessed it) Limerick
