There were two islands, Cock Island and Boyds Island, on Lough Lannagh (sometimes called Church Lake by the older generation)roughly opposite Lough Lannagh International Holiday Village, formerly Creagh Villa, the home of the Gillespie family, owners of the Connaught Telegraph. I think the islands may be listed on old Ordnance Survey maps.
