Like Spiceloft, it was the guards who introduced me to tv! Sitting there in the "dining room" until were were hunted home. I can't remember when we got our own television, but I remember the ads for the Irish Permanent Building Society offering 4% tax free on your savings. Amazing really when in this day and age you won't even get that return from any bank.
Also, some of the programmes I recall are The Fugitive with David Jansos, searching for the one armed man, with Lieut. Gerrard never giving up hope of capturing Dr. Richard Kimble. Another programme was Jackpot and Quicksilver with Terry Wogan at first and later with Bunny Carr.And of course The Riordans. Anyone recall F-Troop?
