Tempus, you are right. Michael McCormack is a regular visitor to Castlebar. Lives in Monasterevin, Co. Kildare. His aunt is Peggy McNally Newport Road. One of Michael's brothers died some years ago; his father Seamus also died a number of years ago. Michael's grandfather was one of the orignal staff of Castlebar bacon factory, a carpenter by trade. Michael's mother is still living. His father Seamus was also a carpenter as well as being an accomplished woodcarver. Their aunt, Kathleen by name, I think, was married to Sean O'Malley from Newport Road, a fine soccer and Gaelic footballer. Another brother, Robert, was father of Robbie O'Malley, an All-Ireland medal winner with Meath; Tommy, another brother, is married to Seamus Swift's sister, lives in England. The McCormacks are related to the McHale family in Breaffy. Michael is into vintage cars and owns three Rolls Royces. A lovely chap with a great regard for his native Castlebar. The McCormacks go back a long way in Castlebar, genuine old stock.
