remember them well ...they were called potmenders ,2 cork washers ,backed by metal washers ,affixed either side of the leaking spot ,,held in place by a nut and bolt ,,they were sold in grocery and hardware shops ,,,they came on a card of 12 ,,and you could buy whatever number you required ,,depending in the number of leaking pots or kettles you had ,,plus a spare
