This photo is from the opening day event on Reek Sunday 1966. Both Pat Heraty and Paraic Cresham (3rd and 4th from left) have passed away within the last few years. Ann Durcan R.I.P was the first swimming teacher. The council installed a heating system around `69 which allowed swimming well into the autumn for a few years until it broke and they did`nt bother to fix it. Thanks for the memory UTP. I met a little bird from home recently who told me you are in great form. Maith an fear.
