That was global cooling - due to lack of greenhouse gases? Or else more likely to the Malkovitch (?) cycle caused by a wobble in the Earth's axis or a random oscillation in the Sun's magnetic field that leads to 41,000 and 110,000 year oscillations in the Earth's temperatures. Unfortunately neither of these currently apply to Castlebar old or new :)
