I was in Castlebar also a week or so ago.Didnt have much time for much except visiting Mam.Did manage to drive across the new bridge at the Barracks. So strange to do that.Castle St was bedlam with huge lorries backing in and out from the car park. The poor old convent grounds still as they were when the convent was pulled down..New appartments going up all over the place and the old cinema facade gone.Lots of changes ,hopefully for the best.BTW Tempus, picked up Anne Chambers new book of short stories in Castle books.Anne has done a fantastic job with her historical novels but this one is intriguing as is the title"Finding Tom Cruise"The first story (if you havent already read it" is about a couple who lived in the Manse on the Mall. Her web site www.graceomalley-annechambers.com is also fascinating.Next time the 99.
