Catherine Burke's Corner at the junction of Linenhall Street/Rush Street. A great meeting place for Castlebar people in the past. Many of us remember with affection Frank Burke in O'Connor's pub. Had a brother parish priest in Westport. Their niece, Breege O'Connor, a genuine Castlebar lady, still going strong. She loves Castlebar and its people. Always nice to meet. Pa Moran, rate collector, used to collect the rates in O'Connors.
