pj:I did come across mention of a Foy's Hotel in Ellison Street.I don't know exactly where it was located but in 1847,the people running the workhouses (Castlebar's Vice Gaurdians)took Foy's hotel as an auxiliary workhouse because the main one (now Sacred Heart Hospital)was bursting at the seams. |
