This was debated some time ago Jackobite before your emergence as No 1 contributor (long may it last) on this board. My recollection is that Patsy Heraty is reputed to have coined the phrase so maybe she could throw some light on the Hogan Jumps. Hogie himself was a dab hand at doing the Hogies but my recollection is that another neighbour, Kieran McHale was noted for being able to run the biggest arc and skip most stones.
