Madam Bourke (or De Burca) was an outstanding pianist. She was formerlly Dotie McLynskey, Main Street, Castlebar. Her daugher Mary and son Sean live in Ballinamore, Kiltimagh. Sean played with Brose Walsh, who was very kind to the Bourke family. A great sax player and drummer, Sean was a school pal of mine. Their father was Walter Bourke, who worked in Rattigans of Castlebar Street, a well read and cultured gentleman.
