The menu is incredible.Did people really eat this well in Castlebar in 1901? Where was the banquet held.Who catered it? Any ideas Sean?I think there may be reference to the banquet in "Through Fagans gates"
Mock Turtle Soup.
Turbot and Lobster Sauce.
Veal Cutlets-tomato Sauce
Roast Ducks and peas.
Boiled Turkey and Ham.
Roast Beef.
Wine jelly
Pastry creams.
Blacmange.
Apples,pears,melons and bananas.
Choice of two wines with port, sherry and claret.
Unbelievable!
