His translation of one of the most difficult philosophical writings of the Middle Ages - the 'Divisione Naturae' of Joannes Scotus Eriugena, was considered his greatest achievement in the literary world. Sadly,it was never published and the manuscript now lies in the National library.He had many admirers such as Austin Clarke and AE(George Russel) who described him as "..kingly but without the purple robe.."
