The programme juxtaposed NorthAfrican Trad singers alongside West of Ireland Sean Nos singers. There was no need to take it with a grain of salt. The similarities were such that you couldn't distinguish one quarter-tone singer form the other with your eyes closed.

And even with your eyes open you saw these swarthy black-haired individuals with their eyes closed an mouths open emitting quarter tones to beat the band. Not blond blue-eyed pop-singing Celts - neither set.

That was a definite and didn't need no NaCl to help with the understanding.
