The woman on left resembles Agnes Dwyer and the other probaly her younger sister Rita, Date of photo unknown, possibly late 20s early 30s.
J.H. Dwyer died on Mar 17th 1919 aged 61 and thereafter the business went into decline, one son Harry having also died by then and the only other son Johnny unable to carry on joined the army. He died in 1947.
I am not sure when the family vacated or what subsequently happened to the premises. Mrs Dwyer passed away in 1950 and prior to that lived in Castle St with her youngest daughter Rita and for a while on McHale Rd.
There is an account of Dwyer`s coachbuilding business and sawmill works (Spencer st) in a Connaught Telegraph article from 1900.
Ther is still a coachbuilding business surviving in Co. Wexford which featured in an RTE craft programme a couple of years ago.
