very interesting piece. There is a good account of P.S. O Morain (in Irish) in book called Beathaisneis 1882-1982 vol. 4 by Diarmuid Breathnach and Maire Ni Mhurchu, published by An Clocomhair 1994. This is a series of books containing short biographies of people involved in the Irish language movement since the late 19th century. It tells us that O Morain was born in Ballina in 1875 where his father was a draper but they later moved to Castlebar where his father was a general trader and publican at Linenhall Street. It also says that there is an obituary of his father in the Western People on 3 October 1916. Somebody might be able to track that down as it would make interesting reading. The Breathnach and O Murchu account says that P.S. O Morain was a cousin for former government minister, Micheal O Morain. Presumbley relate also to Morans of Linenhall Street.
