I am a distant cousin of Nora & Paddy McTigue who lived @ 23 Newline in Castlebar. I believe she died in 1996. She was a cousin of my grandmother, Mary Margaret Conroy who came to Colorado in 1897 from Castlebar and married John J Gillespie here in 1905. He also was from Mayo. His father was Martin and had a brother Patrick (both died in Colorado in 1890's) - Mary Margaret Conroy also had a sister Maggie (Margaret) who came to Coloradoo. They ussed to write to Nora McTigue and we always received shamrocks from her on St. Patrick's Day. I know there were other relatives still there - her sister Nora married a John Murry or Murray (they died in the 60's)- don't know if there were kids. and there were other McTigues - Bridget, Nora, Paddy for sure. My grandmother's mother was Margaret McTigue - I know they lived in Burren also. Anyone out there related to me? We also have pictures of some Crosby kids (look like from the 40's or 50's) Would love to hear from someone - need to find a living relative !
