Yes, I saw the documentary and it was indeed a sad story for all concerned. Frankie Byrne had a huge audience and I remember all the Frank Sinatra records she played. Frank Hall was also hugely popular and his humourous treatment of some topics was great; in fact he was way ahead of his time with satire.Ballymagash Council meetings were hilarious and you did not need too much stretch of the imagination to figure out who he was getting at. |
