Walking up the creaky stairs at R.J's or Gussie Wynns. Checking out the dolls, games etc and hoping. Taking money out of our savings book, buying perfume/lipstick for mam, socks for dad and maybe a hanky. The three of us were allowed to shop on our own and we thought we were so grown up, evening in paris, the little dark blue bottle. Just to have these memories in our hearts means so much, this our first christmas without mam and dad. Sweet memories, treasure your memories folks, i'm sure the good ones outweigh the bad ones.
