Going to Mitchels on Spencer Street to collect the turkey and getting lemonade from Mrs Mitchel, O Malley's Shop on McHale Road for the last minute bits and bobs, Kevin always had a treat/gift for the kids. I have such fond memories of Kevin and his lovely wife and family. I also remember the P&T Christmas party. Santa Claus was such a treat in thoes days. To this day im not sure who played the part but ive a sneaky suspision it was Danny Mc Guiness. Also remember Midnight mass being at midnight then goin home and beenallowed to open one present whilst eating turkey sandwhiches and mammy going mad at the poor birds early carving. Such happy memories.
