Interesting to read the local paper and see that the Major of the town has decided to bring up the item of commerating the former patients and staff of st mary's which was talked about on the board here. Also was talking to staff whom siad that has students they had requested a plaque but nothing was done so interesting to see it takes politics to make it happen.The last diploma class of nurses 2001 were very interseted in commerating the past patients , so maybe the major may ask them and past and present staff to get involved without making it a media show. Also interesting would be a plaque to commerate those whom pasted away in the sacred heart hospital (rip) where there is no burial plaque for rhose whom are buried there.
Maybe the council will do something in conjunction with the staff without making it a media show again.
