Tempus had a quiz on this one back in December 2001. Fr Shannon and the choir and the boys' band were on the Castlebar.ie Front Page on 18 and 19 Dec 2001. Click on the photo to go to the original guesses on who was who.

If anyone would like to consolidate all the names into an article we can put it into the Nostalgia section - this will make it easier to find in future as it is more searchable, it automatically appears as headlines on the front page for a few days and has an RSS feed.

Indeed this applies to any topic discussed here on the NB over the years. So anyone wishing to draw the threads together and write it up as a more formal article we would be delighted - we are always looking for material. (Perhaps people would declare their intent here first so that the work is not duplicated.)

The material on the NB is incredibly valuable as a record of times gone by in Castlebar but with over 17,600 posts now it can be difficult enough to search through and find the particular nugget you are looking for. (By the way a useful hint for searching using Google is to include site:castlebar.ie immediately after the search phrase so that it confines its searching to the castlebar.ie site.
