What was I thinking of when I posted my r.i.p. for the late Pat Jordan. I referred to St.Patrick's parish...I meant of course the church of the Holy Rosary. My mind went blank. I attended St.Patrick's National school.ah..maybe that was what made me refer to the church as St.Patrick's....forgive my oversight.

As for Christmas memories in Castlebar of old. How I remember the eccitement of going around the town with the choir and Fr.Shannon leading us in Christmas carols. We were not thinking of "Christmas shopping" or distracted by any other irrevelant matters. We focused on the real meaning of Christmas. They were special times and are now very special memories which will never be erased from my mind.

Castlebar was, is and always will be a magical place and I wish all the citizens of the town a warm, holy and special Christmas and a wonderful safe, healthy and prosperous New Year in 2008.
