Serendipity! My maternal grandmother was Catherine Garvey, sister of Stephen Garvey from Castle St. I was down there only two weeks ago. My grandmother Catherine (Katie) married my grandfather Bill (William)De Lacey and they raised their family in a place called Saleen in Castlebar, about a mile from Castle St. Are you related to the Garveys that moved to Texas way back?
Because of my close family connections with Castlebar I keep an eye on and tidy up the Garvey family plot in the local cemetery, if you would like I can take some digital photos next time I am down there and forward them to you?
