There I was feeling sorry for myself having to commute around Dublin and you have to commute to and from Castlebar on a weekly basis, I am sorry!!
I am intrigued when you say Charlie (Lally) stayed with your family, do you mind if I ask where your family home was because he used to head off every now and again and not be seen for a couple of days, I lived with him in Drogheda for a number of years before I joined the Air Corps, he used to manage the Wimpy bar in Laurence Street and he had a caravan in Bettystown which from a young teenage males viewpoint was absolute magic!!
