It is her talent we are celebrating, not her pomposity. If we erase the memory of every Castlebar person, or indeed Irish or otherwise person, who became pompous with fame, we'll have little enough left. I also think that buildings on the Mall should be protected as much as possible as it is such a historic spot. It would be a shame if the beautiful building in question was demolished.
