There are some Gildea's in Castlebar, My Grandfather was Tommy Walsh and his sister Mary Kate Walsh married a Dan Gildea. Dan had a shop in Lucan street or Richard Street near the town's Military Barracks. Mary Kate And Dan had three daughter's, Ena, Kathleen and Bridie who would have been my mothers first cousins. Sadly the only one still living is Bridie. However Kathleen had two sons still living in Castlebar. Ena has a son living in England. Hope this is of some use to you.
