Last time I was home I met Father Curran, and guess what we talked about-the servers tour.

In case you ever wondered how he picked the location-his mother grew up in that village and he used to go there on his "holidays" when he was a young fella.

Did he bring your group back into the woods to see the "sweat house"? Its was the medieval equivalent of the Spa at Knockranny, except you got eaten alive by midges and had to jump into a freezing lake when your time was up!

The other memory I have is the big football match between the 2 6th classes. How you could play a gaelic football match without goalposts is beyond me, but Father Curran employed all his peacekeeping skills to prevent a major outbreak of hostilities
